Fraud warning

Our company takes every piece of information and every suspicion connected with fraudulent activity seriously. From time to time we identify companies that use our name, or names similar to ours, without permission. This can cause confusion and spread false information about our company and its services.

Why we publish this notice

Fraudsters know that a trusted name lowers a victim's guard. Cloning a financial brand is cheap: a copied logo, a lookalike web address and a boiler-room script are enough to separate people from their savings. Because Senerum operates openly online, our name can be borrowed by people we have never employed and have no control over.

Publishing this page is the most effective countermeasure we have. It tells you how we actually communicate, which web address is genuinely ours, and what to do in the first ten minutes if you suspect a clone. A few minutes of checking can save you from a costly mistake, and every report we receive helps us take fake sites down faster.

Clone firms

If you suspect you are dealing with a clone firm using our brand, name or logo, do not share any personal information with them and notify us immediately by email at [email protected]. Include the web address, phone number or social account that approached you, and a screenshot if you have one. We pass verified reports to the relevant take-down channels and, where appropriate, to the authorities.

We work continuously to identify clone firms, but we stress that some may remain undetected for a period of time. Always verify the legitimacy of any company you deal with online before sharing personal data or beginning any business relationship. Check the web address character by character: clones rely on near-identical spellings that are easy to miss on a phone screen.

We are aware of cases where our name and personal details have been misused for fraudulent purposes, which we cannot influence or control. While we sincerely regret the financial losses suffered by anyone affected, our company is not responsible for fraudulent transactions carried out in our name.

How to recognise an impostor

Wrong address

Our only domain is senerum.co.uk. Any variation, extra hyphen, different ending or lookalike spelling is not us.

Pressure calls

We never demand an immediate decision, a remote-access session or payment to a private bank account. Pressure is the fraudster's tool.

Requests for codes

No Senerum employee will ever ask for your password, your two-step verification codes or your full card number. Never share them with anyone.

If you have already shared details with a suspected clone: contact your bank first, then change passwords on any accounts that use them, then report it to us and to Action Fraud, the UK's national fraud reporting service. Acting quickly limits the damage.
